David was born in New England and grew up in various cities along the East Coast and Midwestern United States including Boston and Chicago. He is also a United States Coast Guard veteran having served in the North Atlantic in support of U.S. rescue operations.
After the military, David moved to New York, working in various industries leading sales & marketing divisions before initiating his career in music and entertainment. Since he broke into the scene, his reputation speaks for itself, with a tenure that includes executive-level appointments at all three majors. A lifelong guitarist & songwriter himself, he is passionate about championing talent and representing clients at the highest level in the ever-changing entertainment landscape.
He is highly sought after as an industry expert, which has led to ongoing advisement with investment and private equity firms, entertainment companies, and digital streaming providers on investment strategy and acquisition analysis, as well as providing expert witness testimony.
A Voting Member of The Recording Academy, David has been asked to participate in the Recording Academy’s District Advocate Day annually since 2017. David has advocated before Congress in support of the Music Modernization Act, the CASE Act, and critical COVID-19 relief for artists including the CARES Act, RESTART Act, and HITS Act.
