With more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Eric Baptiste has influenced broadcast media and cultural policy and promoted creative talent around the world. Eric is co-founder and CEO of QwantumRights Solutions, a software, consultancy, and outsourcing provider for creative industries worldwide. Before that, Eric has been the CEO of the Society of Composers, Authors & Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) from 2010 to 2020. Prior to joining SOCAN, Eric worked for eight years in radio in France, including General Manager of RFI (French public international radio) and CEO of the commercial radio station, 95.2 Paris, and was Director General (CEO) of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors & Composers (CISAC) for 12 years.
He has served two terms as Chairperson of the board of the International Confederation of Authors and Composers Societies (CISAC), from 2014 to 2019, has been the non-executive Chair of the International ISAN Agency (ISAN-IA) for more than 10 years, and has served for five years as vice-chair of the board of Fast Track, the global technical alliance among 13 leading copyright societies. A graduate of Sciences-Po Paris and the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Eric Baptiste was awarded the French government’s Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2006.
